The C1000 THROUGH-THE-EARTH COMMUNICATION™ System

The C1000 Through-The-Earth tunnel and mine radios use magnetic induction, advanced digital communications techniques and ultra-low frequency transmission to provide reliable 2-way voice or data links through rock strata and other solid media. The product provides through-the-earth (“TTE”) underground communications in hard-to-service areas such as mines, subways, pipelines, and tunnels where obstructions like rock, concrete, and metal are common, typically for less than half the cost of alternatives such as leaky feeder systems.   Typical applications include use of RFID tags to track assets, sensor monitoring for various conditions such as heat and pressure, and emergency warning and disaster recovery communications.
