	HEATHER SIMMONS, CEO Heather has led organizations ranging in size from pre-revenue to $10 billion. She was in marketing with Dell for over 13 years. Under Heather's leadership, Dell's North American desktop, notebook, and workstation product lines all advanced to the #1 market share position. She also worked for McKinsey & Co. and Arthur Andersen & Co. Heather is a Certified Public Accountant who earned the highest score in the state of Texas on the CPA Exam. She received her MBA, with distinction, from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. We try not to hold that against her.
	MIKE ROPER, CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER Mike Roper has over 25 years of experience, serving most recently as CTO for 2 wireless start-ups which have installed over 5,000 in-building systems. He has obtained product approvals from major organizations (AT&T, Verizon) and regulatory authorities (FCC, IC, CSA, UL, ISO 9001). He has experience in hands-on R&D management in the fields of wireless antenna, analog, digital and hardware, embedded and client software, and mechanical packaging and design. Mike has managed geographically distributed development teams within Canada, China, India, and Europe. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering, Electronics (Honours), from Southampton University in the UK. Mike is technically brilliant, very precise, and, so far, has only corrected Heather's description of the product 47 times. This week.
	MICHAEL HOMER, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER Michael is a seasoned Senior Executive with over 20 years of successful progressive experience in technology based sectors including aerospace, automotive, industrial and electronics manufacturing services (EMS). He was most recently Executive Vice President at Breconridge, an electronics design and manufacturing company and prior to this, Michael held senior executive positions at Psion PLC, Celestica, Honeywell Canada and Honeywell Aerospace. Michael began his career as an Engineer, with a Bachelor's degree from McGill University and holds accreditation from the University of Tennessee in the area of Productivity through Quality and Lean Enterprise Systems. We're not sure why he took the job, either.
	SANDI JONES, VP MARKETING AND TECHNICAL SALES Sandi has more than 15 years of telecom experience spanning both technical and business roles primarily working with service providers and focusing on new technology implementations. She recently worked for Rogers Communications, one of Canada's leading wireless and cable service providers and prior to that spent 8 years with MTS Allstream where her focus was business-to-business technology. When not flaying cable, Sandi really likes talking with customers. And she's good at it! Eureka. Be sure to ask her what her favourite Star Trek episode is.
	MARKUS SVILANS, PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ARCHITECT Markus is a geophysicist. He designed the current CanaryTalk prototypes, along with our advisor Neil Punstel. He brings a unique combination of geophysics, engineering, and software development skills to Vital Alert. Markus has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computational Geophysics from Carleton University. His honours thesis was titled "Quantitative Interpretation of Responses of Helicopter-borne Concentric Loop EM Geophysical Survey Systems." We don't know what it means, either.
	PETER KWASNIOK, SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER Peter is a senior software engineer and PhD specializing in embedded and mobile programming with extensive experience in the design of sophisticated low-level software running on embedded and mobile platforms. He has over 20 years of software development experience, including over 10 with Mosaid Technologies Inc. We're afraid to ask what the title of his PhD thesis was.
	VLADIMIR PUZAKOV, SENIOR HARDWARE ENGINEER Vladimir is a senior hardware engineer with over a decade of experience in the Ukraine, Israel, and Canada. He has experience in analog and digital electronic hardware and software development for power, control, telecommunications, and industrial automation. Vladimir most recently worked for Fidus Systems Inc. He has a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
