TECHNOLOGY

BREAKTHROUGH

Vital Alert's Emergency Broadcast Network (EBN) is the first and only fail-safe, pre and post disaster, digital, wireless, early warning, emergency and evacuation network, capable of sending 2-way voice and text communications through earth, skyscrapers, subways, tunnels, ocean and more. EBN can be used in urban, subterranean and ocean environments.

Existing PCS / GSA wireless systems and standard UHF / VHF radio systems are prone to breakdowns and power failures in disaster situations. Vital Alert's Emergency Broadcast Network (EBN) offers a superior, fail-safe, 100% measured signal (within your signal range and needs) that is reliable, secure and robust. This technology is not 'radio' and does not have the short falls of radio, which is line of sight technology.

CAPABILITY

EBN technology has the ability to penetrate the earth by sending vital information through the earth for several miles or through steel and concrete buildings. Rock, concrete, steel, debris and dust cannot stop the EBN communications signal.

Vital Alert's EBN technology can save and protect the lives of First Responders (Police, Fire, Ambulance and Rescue) and the public, in extreme environments such as fire, hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorism and other Homeland Security disasters.

Vital Alert's innovative technology allows for secure 'two-way' voice and text-messaging communications in urban, urban subterranean and ocean environments, opening the door to several applications: subway systems, skyscrapers, stadiums, airports, refineries, power plants, marine and port security, tunnels, bridges and commercial and industrial buildings, to name but a few.

Engineering

Vital Alert has extensive experience in the design and manufacture of transmitters, receivers, antenna systems, overall electromagnetic survey systems, analog, digital and electrical design, signal processing, invisible gas detection and low frequency mining commuications systems.

PERFORMANCE

VITAL ALERT COMMUNICATION INC. has state-of-the-art communications technology - a fail-safe system to protect the lives of emergency personnel and the public.

Our first below ground network was designed to evacuate miners and provide them with early warning and post disaster information. The network has the ability to penetrate the earth to depths of more than 9000 feet. Vital Alert technology evolved out of a two-decade long R&D program co-developed by the United States and Canadian governments, which focused primary attention on technologies and applications for underground electro-magnetic signaling and transmissions. Significant demonstration projects led to wide praise for the innovative technology, which proved itself in the harshest environment known to man - underground mining.

R&D Magazine in the USA said it is "One of the most technologically significant products of the year" and The US Department of the Interior stated the technology is "The most significant advance in mining safety of the century".

AWARDS

Vital Alert's breakthrough technology won the R&D 100 Award in Chicago considered the "Nobel Prize" of applied research.

R&D Magazine in the USA said it was "One of the most technologically significant products of the year".

Documents issued by The US Department of the Interior (Mining) consider the technology to be "The most significant advance in mine safety of the century".
